Pronghorn

Pronghorn are under-appreciated creatures of our area, despite being the fastest land mammals in North America. They are second fastest only to cheetahs, and pronghorn can sustain their speed for much longer. Pronghorn use this incredible swiftness to avoid predators in the open terrain they inhabit. Their shy yet curious nature makes them fun to spot, even in the backcountry.
